Bob and David Climb Machu Picchu

Bob and David Climb Machu Picchu
Tribeca Festival Official Selection Bob Odenkirk and David Cross in knit caps on the trail, snow-capped Andean peaks behind them at sunrise.

Bob Odenkirk and David Cross have been friends and colleagues for decades, creating and starring in iconic comedies and dramas such as Mr. Show, Arrested Development, and Better Call Saul. When David called Bob to share his bucket-list dream to hike Machu Picchu, Bob didn’t hesitate to blurt out "yes" – in spite of, or perhaps because of – his recent heart attack. This film documents their conquest of The Lost City and features gorgeous scenery and plenty of coca-fueled, profoundly stupid comedy.

As they climb ever higher, Bob and David get lost in comic conversation about the underpinnings of their partnership and enduring friendship, their careers in the feast and famine of show business, and personal reflections on the finality and fragility of life itself.

“One of the most hilarious and heartwarming films at this year’s Tribeca Festival…”
Variety
“How fortunate for us that we get to join in on their big adventure.”
The Wrap
“At its core, a resonant journey about friendship and the fragility of life.”
